San Miguel Electric Corp. (SMELC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMC Global Power Holdings Corp. (SMC Global) and is a Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) duly licensed by the Energy Regulatory Commission. SMELC was incorporated in February 2011 and received its RES license on August 22, 2011.The power supplied to the Contestable Customers is sourced from the diverse portfolio of power plants of SMC Global Power, the biggest power producer in Luzon. SMC Global Power has a total generating capacity of 4,347MW and is currently providing energy to various Contestable Customers, Directly Connected Customers, Distribution Utilities, and Economic Zones.
SMELC offers a flexible pricing scheme to meet the customers’ power requirements as part of its commitment to providing reliable, continuous power supply at competitive rates.
